Sensory Body Socks - Small, Medium, Large

Children’s Body Sock

What it is
A stretchy, breathable body sock designed for children to climb inside and stretch their arms and legs. Body socks provide full-body sensory input through movement, resistance, and gentle compression.

Sensory needs supported
• ✋ Tactile (touch) input
• 🌀 Proprioceptive input (body awareness)
• 🤍 Deep pressure for calming and regulation
• 🧠 Support for spatial awareness and self-regulation

Why it can be helpful
When inside the body sock, children receive strong sensory feedback through stretching and movement. For some children, this input can feel calming and regulating, while for others it provides a safe way to release excess energy.

The enclosed, stretchy fabric can create a comforting “safe space,” supporting relaxation, regulation, or active play depending on the child’s needs.

About proprioception
Proprioception is the body’s ability to sense where it is in space without consciously thinking about it. Activities that involve resistance and stretching can help support body awareness and spatial understanding.

How it’s commonly used
Children can use the body sock with their head inside or outside. The light, breathable lycra allows visibility while still providing an enclosed feel. Body socks may be used during play, movement breaks, calming time, or as part of sensory routines.
